Vicky Huang

My name is Vicky, and I'm a Senior Director with Annie, Kameron, and Athena. I am also the Team Leader of the Social Media Team with Elena. I manage the different social media platforms and oversee the different departments here at Reach For The Stars.

I have always been involved with tutoring and volunteering. I tutored my peers at school, and I also tutored younger students at the library. When I am not tutoring, I still try to do some sort of volunteering. One of my favorite activities is volunteering at crab feeds or banquets. I love seeing some familiar people in my town and getting to meet other volunteers around my area.

I joined Reach For The Stars because I wanted more opportunities to volunteer. After Coronavirus hit, all my plans disappeared, and I ended up having a bunch of free time on my hands. Never in my life would I have imagined that I would be meeting so many new and amazing people across the US, or even the world, especially during a time like this. Reach For The Stars has opened up a community for me to be with people that have a spirit of community service just like me.

Something about me that you should know is I love boba. I get it almost every week. My area has a bunch of different boba chains, so one can never get tired.

3 Fun Facts:
1. I am really big on posture. I can't stand it when people around me are hunched back.
2. I am probably the pickiest eater you will ever meet. I haven’t tried a lot of foods and am not too willing to do so.
3. I have a minor reaction to soy. I eat food with soy sauce, but not tofu.
