Hello, my name is Tamzid Razzaque. I am originally from Austin, Texas and now live in Maryland. I am 16 years old and I am a writer on the Blogging Team in the Publishing Department.

I have been intrigued by the power of writing since I was in elementary school--writing short stories, reading books, and listening to speeches. I had gained further interest in middle school where I entered our school’s poetry book competition in which my poem about an analogy between life. and the rising sun was engraved into the history of the book. Truly then I realized I had to go further. I began to find opportunities to write, like my high school newsletter, a blog for my English teacher, even for a blogging website I made with my dad.

When I discovered this opportunity with RFTS, I was filled with glee knowing that there was an organization hoping to share writing’s power to everyone during the pandemic. I immediately applied and before I knew it, I was in. I have written 3 articles so far, mostly educational, and I plan to write more, hoping that I could educate the curious, entertain the public.

I also have other hobbies than writing. I enjoy programming, 3D modeling… basically anything on the computer. Also, I like to bike, spend time with my family, ski, pet my cat, and do Taekwondo. During this pandemic, I have tried to find ways to impact my community in a positive way. I write encouraging letters to the elderly, tutor math, and help organizations. This is why I believe that contributing in RFTS is something that I should be proud of, and should continue.

3 Fun Facts:
1. I am a second degree black belt in Taekwondo.
2. I am an only child.
3. I have recently become addicted to Skiing.
