Mahek Baig

Hello! My name is Mahek Baig, and I reside in New York as a sophomore in high school. I first joined RFTS because it was an opportunity given to me by one of my teachers.

When I went in-depth and researched RFTS, I saw that this program offered improvement in skills that I value. When I applied to be in the Programs Team, I noticed that this position was organized and detail-orientated, and I knew that RFTS had a place for me. I feel I can work and learn beside others who have the same initiative as me, be a skillful person, and further my future career.

I plan to pursue a career in social work where I work with other people to better understand themselves, either as a social worker or a psychologist! I have many hobbies, such as reading and helping out my brother with anything I can support.

Being at RFTS, I have met many helpful people who have made me feel comfortable in a new environment. RFTS is a place where you can expand your horizons and make great friends along the way!

1. I love writing short stories and reading, english is one of my favorite subjects
2. I am pretty good at badminton, my dad taught me when i was 10 and I’ve loved it ever since
3. I like designing things and different forms of art such as, music and interior design
