Kameron Jones

My name is Kameron Jones and I am from Northern Virginia.

I am an undergraduate student at Virginia Commonwealth University, earning my Bachelors of Science in Biology. I plan to minor in Chemistry and Fashion, as well. I love all things fashion and beauty related!

Coffee shops are my favorite place to catch up on homework and emails or get lost in a book and hang out with my friends. I am very passionate about improving maternal and child health in the US.

My goal is to attend medical school to become an obstetrician-gynecologist and eventually specialize in maternal-fetal medicine.

I am a Senior Director and the Co-Head of Human Resources at RFTS. I joined the organization because I desperately missed tutoring students in person and I was searching for a virtual volunteering opportunity that was fulfilling, even if it was all on the computer.

I love RFTS because of all the new people I have met from all across the world. I’ve never had so many friends in different time zones before! I enjoy working with all my RFTS peers, but specifically I’ve spent a lot of time with Vicky, Athena, Annie, and Heather! Our entire HR team is made up of smart, compassionate, and driven individuals who are striving to help RFTS grow.

I’m so excited to see how much RFTS can grow into a flourishing organization dedicated to helping students globally.

3 Fun Facts:
1. I swam competitively from 3rd grade to my junior year in high school!
2. I love chai lattes!
3. I had volunteered at my local hospital for two years, up until Covid-19, in the Pediatric ER, the Birthing Inn, at NICU and OB events, and with patients 70 and older in the MSU, PCU, and ACU. I am so excited for the day that I can return and start interacting with patients again!
