Jamiyah Jackson

Hey, you guys! My name is Jamiyah Jackson and I am currently a senior. I am from Georgetown, South Carolina. I like to write, bake, draw, and sing, even though I’m bad at it. I also love BTS, and I like watching horror movies.

I would describe myself as someone who is open-minded, sarcastic, fun, indecisive, and overall, a great person. I don’t know if you guys know about the 16 different types of personalities, but I am an INFJ, so I am more introverted than extroverted, but I still like to have fun and meet new people.

I joined RFTS because during this time, I wanted to become a journalist. That isn’t my career of choice; however, I wouldn’t mind making it a side hustle. I also joined because I wanted to break out of my shy shell and meet new people.

So far, everyone apart from RFTS has been kind and approachable, and that’s why I think anyone should join because RFTS creates a sense of community. I also enjoy writing and that is what I do in RFTS. I write articles, mainly from the education perspective. I also go to zoom meetings and webinars to take notes for my department.

By joining RFTS, it will help me more with my writing skills and communication skills. I plan on going into teaching and this will definitely help since I will be the one communicating. Thanks for reading about me!!
