Courtney Stringer

My name is Courtney Stringer, and I am a sophomore from Central Alabama. I am the Senior Director of Interviews for the Tutoring Team and an Interview Board member. I love to read and write and have written a handful of web novels, including one that’s contracted. In the future,

I hope to attend UCLA to become an Oral/Maxillofacial Surgeon and eventually open up my private practice. I joined Reach For The Stars because I love volunteering and wanted an opportunity to help other people and impact their lives.

I like being a part of RFTS because I collaborate with people from all around the world who share the same goal as me: helping others. One of my main tasks with RFTS is interviewing applicants, and in doing so, I get to find so much about teens in a ten-minute interview. I love the fact that I’ve met so many people virtually and have been able to participate in so many activities that I’ve sincerely enjoyed. I’ve also made several friends since I began volunteering (Heather) that I would’ve never met if I hadn’t decided to join.

I love how the Reach For The Stars community is warm and welcoming. We have a lot of fun when we’re not getting work done! Volunteering with RFTS has taught me several things: how much teamwork and communication can make an impact. We work together on so many tasks, and that creates such a productive environment.

I’ve also learned several skills that I will need in the future. I strongly recommend volunteering with Reach For The Stars. Not only will you get to collaborate with others and help impact so many individuals’ lives, but you will also gain so much experience.

There are several positions to choose from that will meet your needs and interests. The commitment is very flexible and can accommodate you, no matter the time zone. If you volunteer with RFTS, I can guarantee you that you will not regret your decision.
