Bernie Baschkier

Hi there! My name is Bernardita Baschkier (Bernie for short) and I’m the Executive Assistant for our Founder, Inuola. Currently, I am a high school junior living in Florida, but I am originally from Argentina!

My biggest passion is medicine and in the future, I plan on going to medical school and becoming an epidemiologist. I love spending time in the kitchen baking a new recipe or tweaking an old one, as well as relaxing on the beach with a good book.

At RFTS, I am responsible for organizing the Founder’s calendar and schedule, communicating and keeping track of emails, and helping Reach for the Stars run smoothly.

When I came across the opportunity to join the team, I felt immediately connected to this organization’s mission. I have always valued education and one of my main goals is to help other students achieve academic success, so Reach for the Stars is the perfect place to fulfill this goal.

For me, being a part of this organization is so exciting and rewarding. In the short amount of time since I joined, I’ve met some amazing people including Inuola, Kameron, Vicky, Kyra, Jacob, and Athena, whom I work with the most. I couldn’t be happier to have received the opportunity to take part in such a dedicated organization and I can’t wait to see how much it will grow!

1. I am a huge Harry Potter fan and my favorite character is Ron Weasley.
2. I have a collie named Sky that looks like Lassie.
3. My dream is to go to college in the Northeast, specifically Boston.
